America dropped the first atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima in 1945.it resulted in the death of more than a lakh people. In many parts of the world,Hiroshima day is observed to commemorate that event on August 6th,every year Chernobyl is a city In northern Ukraine, which Was part of the U. S.S.R. in 1986 a nuclear disaster took place there. It is considered to be the deadliest nuclear power plant accident in history Sachidanandan wrote this poem with the purpose of rousing the conscience of mankind against such disaster. The poem is uttered by grass the silent witness to murderous crimes. When the bomb we dropped on Hiroshima death descended like spring in the valley with the light of a million sun's.
